The Cappuccinatore or milk pipework is clogged.
Clean the Cappuccinatore (incl. the spout and milk pipework). Proceed as follows:
Remove the cover, see Fig. 1.
Remove the Cappuccinatore, see Fig. 2.
Disassemble the Cappuccinatore into its individual parts, see Fig. 3.
Clean the individual Cappuccinatore components by hand or in a dishwasher, see Fig. 4.
Reassemble the Cappuccinatore. Insert the Cappuccinatore back into the coffee machine, see Fig. 5.
Refit the cover, see Fig. 6.
If the problem is still not remedied after the Cappuccinatore has been cleaned, clean the milk pipework using the milk system cleaning powder.
The cleaning powder for the milk system was specially developed for this coffee machine. You can purchase the cleaning powder for the milk pipework from the Miele online shop.
Refer to the operating instructions for information on how to clean the milk pipework.
Clean the milk pipework as follows:
SELECT BEVERAGE is indicated on the display.
Place a suitable container underneath the Cappuccinatore. Dissolve the cleaning powder in a container with 150 ml of lukewarm water. Place this container next to the coffee machine.
Press and hold the OK button until MENU appears on the display.
Then turn the rotary selector until MAINTENANCE appears on the display. Then press the OK button.
Select CLEAN MILK SYSTEM and confirm the selection by pressing the OK button.
Then select START and confirm using the OK button.
When prompted by the display, place the milk pipework in the container. Make sure that the milk pipework is lowered far enough into the cleaning solution.
Follow the next instructions on the display.
When the display reads PROCESS FINISHED, press the OK button.
Clean the milk system regularly to prevent the build-up of germs.
