
The new EU Energy Label for Tumble Dryers from July 2025
Many electrical appliances that are newly launched in Europe must carry an energy label. This label helps consumers easily compare the devices and choose the most efficient model.
The European Commission has now reformed the energy label for tumble dryers.
From July 1, 2025, tumble dryers must be labeled with energy efficiency classes A to G, instead of the previous A+++ to D.
Additionally, the name of the program used to determine the values has been changed to ECO.
The energy consumption values and label classes of the old and new energy labels are not directly comparable. This is because the measurement methods and criteria for classification into label classes have changed.
