Frequently asked questions
M Sense is the world's first cookware with integrated controls and up to three temperature sensors. When used with compatible induction hobs, it provides intelligent support for cooking and frying. The system consists of cookware that can be used for temperature-controlled cooking and frying, and a suitable induction hob. The cookware itself has a touch control interface and electronics, temperature sensors, and wireless communication with the hob.
M Sense cookware offers a completely new cooking experience under the motto: no burn, no overboil, no problem. When cooking with traditional cookware, power settings need regular adjustments to maintain the right temperature. Too much heat can cause food to burn or liquids to spill over; too little and dishes may cook unevenly or miss their roasted aroma. M Sense solves this by using integrated sensors to measure the temperature constantly and keep it precisely where it needs to be. This ensures consistently excellent results, reduces the need for monitoring, and can save up to 30% energy when boiling water with a lid compared to boiling without one1. There is no need to monitor the cooking process.

Yes. M Sense cookware can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
The electronics are fully enclosed, so moisture cannot penetrate during cleaning in either the dishwasher or the sink. Nothing needs to be removed or prepared beforehand, making maintenance straightforward. However, for the best long‑term care of the cookware, we recommend cleaning by hand.
M Sense cookware is compatible with induction hobs with the "M Sense ready" function (series KM 85xx, KM 86xx, KM 87xx, KM 88xx), as the intelligent process technology behind the cooking and frying support is integrated into the hob.
