Coffee grounds wet/coffee too weak

Clean the brew unit of the coffee machine once a week by hand.

Proceed as follows:

• Disconnect the coffee machine from the mains.

• Open the appliance door on the right-hand side of the coffee machine.

• 

• Press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit, see Fig. 1 (1).

• Whilst doing so, turn the handle to the left, see Fig. 1 (2).

• Carefully pull the brew unit out of the coffee machine.

• Clean the brew unit by hand under hot running water without using any cleaning agent.

• Wipe any coffee grounds off the filters; see Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4.

• Clean the brew unit with a cleaning tablet for degreasing using the Degrease brew unit or Clean brew unit maintenance programme.

Set the coffee quantity to medium in the Quantity of coffee menu or select the factory default setting.

Manually set the degree of grinding to medium in increments.

Open the ground coffee chute lid.

Remove any ground coffee residues.

Close the ground coffee chute lid.

Close the lid on the right-hand side of the coffee machine.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any coffee residues from the bean container and the ground coffee chute.

In order to remove coffee residues properly from the coffee grinder channel, vacuum out the ground coffee chute once a year with a vacuum cleaner attachment (supplied where applicable).

Clean the ground coffee chute as follows:

• Open the appliance door and remove the ground coffee drawer.

• 

• Attach the vacuum cleaner attachment. Use the suction tube of your vacuum cleaner to vacuum out the ground coffee chute.

• Remove the vacuum cleaner attachment and refit the ground coffee drawer.

• Close the appliance door.
