Eco Range: Miele celebrates 80th dishwashing anniversary with a special model G1225 SC

The EcoComfort model, created to mark 80 years of dishwashing at Miele, is characterised by high-end features which make this model a super saver. EcoComfort G 1225 SC offers sufficient space for 14 place settings and requires only 10 l of water and 0.95 kWh of electricity to wash what amounts to 162 items. If connected to a hot water supply, the machine requires as little as 0.6 kWh.

Alongside low consumption, cleaning and drying performance are key benchmarks which Miele machines must meet. Consequently, Miele dishwashers fulfill all the criteria for a Triple A rating. The G 1225 SC demonstrates its strengths in terms of low water and energy consumption resulting not least from innovative and intermittent spray arm action which, together with electronically monitored water levels, ensure low consumption.

A key feature of all Miele dishwashers including the EcoComfort anniversary model is the hot water fill option. This achieves considerable reductions in energy consumption, achieving values as low as 0.6 kWh and 10 litres of water for 14 place settings.

EcoComfort models are characterised by low water consumption, short cycle times, excellent energy efficiency and the sparing use of resources. But it does not end there: Numerous programmes ensure that loads are cleaned gently. One example is Perfect GlassCare: Glass is very delicate and reacts sensitively to oversoftened water. These programmes have sensor technology which intelligently controls water hardness and ensures that the water is ideally softened to meet the needs of glassware.

The fully electronic controls and the use of sensor technology make numerous programmes such as EnergySave possible. Functions such as 'Turbo' for reduced cycle times without compromising cleaning results or 'Combi' for multi-component dishwashing tablets augment the range of applications. Turbothermic drying ensures perfectly dry crockery. In the Automatic programme, this is achieved by fully automatic sensor drying (SensorDry). As laboratory tests show clearly that drying results are dependent both on ambient room temperature and on load size and composition, Miele has incorporated sensors to monitor both these parameters. The information they provide is then used to adjust the drying cycle.

The practical design of the baskets vouches for excellent versatility. Whether plates, pots, bowls or glasses – dishwasher baskets from Miele are accommodatingly flexible. A cutlery tray, a height-adjustable upper basket and flexible use of the lower basket all ensure that the 162 items which go to make up 14 international place settings are all properly accommodated. The lower basket is able to take plates with a diameter of up to 31 cm without the slightest problems. Baskets offer numerous ways of washing and drying glasses, ensuring a secure hold in each case.
